That is so expressive of the way that I feel at work. Caught in a dark corner, the atmosphere full of cloudy grays, eyes heavy with dark circles caused by boredom and inertia, not allowed to speak or be an individual, dressed in my uniform looking like everybody else, ears emphasized because I am constantly soaking in the undertones of my coworkers and management, body fit from hard maual labor and claw marks deep in my face from the latest run in with my boss - and yet somewhere off in the distance freedom and the promised land beckon. (If only I can figure out what it is that will set me free.) Nice detail in the eyes. This one really spoke out to me.

very cool, the eyes are pretty powerful.

Ohh.. I like it.. It's so dark and mysterious.. I love the four lines at the side of the face. Kind of gives it a different meaning and all. Great!

this piece is thoroughly melancholy. i love your use of greys, and the dark, abstract approach to the woman's face. beautiful work! it is a very dreary day here in chicago as well.
